Murphys-Inc is a Destination
Management Company or DMC specializing in event coordination and
weddings. Maura Grant - Principle and founder has over 20 years
experience in customer service, sales and event planning. She
has worked for fortune 500 companies such as Amdahl Corporation,
and ASK Computers, planning events across the country from
Bermuda to Hawaii. Prior to relocating to Murphys in 2000,
Maura was a Director at the Marin YMCA and Volunteer Director
for their 1999 annual fundraiser, raising over $350,000 for less
fortunate families and their children to participate in YMCA
programs.
After achieving success as the Group
Sales Manager for Greenhorn Creek from 2000 - 2003, Maura
created Murphys-Inc, a destination management company, in
December of that year. Currently Murphys-Inc has created and
coordinated special events hosting over 5000 guests in
Calaveras County at an array of local venues and neighboring
Yosemite. Maura has been published in the popular Season’s
Magazine and the Calaveras Enterprise, as well as represented
the county on radio talk show interviews and press releases.
Murphys-Inc has been a member of MPI
(Meeting Planers International), Calaveras Women’s Network, and
as Principle, Maura is in her 4th year on the Board of Directors
for the Calaveras Visitor Bureau.
